Overview

The Horizon 2020 EuCanImage project is revolutionizing cancer imaging by building a highly secure, federated, and large-scale platform. Designed to enhance AI capabilities in oncology, this project tackles significant challenges in constructing clinical use cases across multiple cohorts and implementing infrastructure for seamless data collection and analysis.
At the workshop, we’ll delve into the clinical and technical considerations vital for trustworthy AI in multi-country oncology imaging. Moreover, during a hands-on session you will gain experience with the EuCanImage data collection as well as the platform for individual studies.

Target audience

This workshop is tailored for clinical and technical AI scientists keen on conducting their own multi-centre AI studies. Specifically, it’s ideal for those interested in:

  • Constructing multi-centre clinical use cases for AI in oncology,
  • Exploring infrastructure for large-scale clinical and imaging data collection and analysis, and
  • Utilizing the EuCanImage data collection and platform in their studies.

Topics covered

The workshop will cover the following topics:

  • Clinical considerations for trustworthy AI in multi-country oncology imaging,
  • Technical considerations for trustworthy AI in multi-country oncology imaging,
  • Data- and metadata-models for clinical and imaging data in cancer research,
  • FUTURE-AI guidelines on trustworthy and deployable AI in healthcare,
  • Hands-on sessions: Working with the EuCanImage database on breast mammography and medical imaging archive,
  • Discussion on follow-up research based on EuCanImage (breast) use-cases.
